A reading club formed in Gau Bombast, Bindu B.K as chairperson


Myagdi, 27 June. A reading club has been set up at Shree Gau Bombast Secondary School with the objective of developing reading culture in the students.

Last year, Bindu b.k of class 10 was selected as the chairperson of the reading club from among the students who read a lot of books in the library besides textbooks. Ichcha Phagami has been elected as the vice president, Krishna  Phagami as the secretary, Lalit Sunar as the joint secretary and Trishna  Phagami as the treasurer. Pradip Siunthani, Tejina  Phagami, Prashant  Phagami, Varsha Budhathoki, Sima Pun and Shikha Siunthani have been selected as the members of the reading club, said school principal Amrit Budhathoki.

The first meeting of the Reading Club selected Principal Amrit Budhathoki and teacher and librarian Sunita Paija Pun as the teachers' representatives, said newly elected chairperson B.K.

Sunita Paija Pun, a librarian at the school, said that the club was set up in the belief that everyone should have the habit of reading books of great authors other than textbooks.



Writer, journalist and teacher Prakash Adhikari has come up with the concept of Reading Club to develop the school library as a learning center. "I believe that reading should be a habit to be successful in life," she said. When we read the books of famous writers, we know the thoughts of the writers. At the same time, knowledge also increases. You can be successful in life. ” . 

Newly elected chairperson BK said that weekly book review, newly elected chairperson BK will conduct weekly book review, film scanning, discussion and interaction.

 "Our goal is to move the reading club forward with everyone's support. In the weekly discussions, we always choose different topics and call experts as much as possible for analysis. ” She said. "We have a dream to set up a E-library as soon as possible. For that, I appeal to all the brothers and sisters and the concerned bodies to help as much as possible. ”

In order to develop reading culture, prizes are also distributed annually to the students, teachers and community representatives who read the most books throughout the year with the help of Pahara Truss. The library set up in the school with the help of Pahara Truss has about 6,000 books.
